A devotee, filled with the love of the Lord, welcomes what may appear as punishing as something intended for his good. Even when the Lord appears to be angry, His compassion is evident. Even in punishment God's kindness will be seen. Hence no one should cherish grievance that he or she has been singled out for punishment. Even punishment is a means of leading one to God. The display of anger is for safeguarding the devotee. The true devotee is one who recognizes this truth and welcomes whatever happens to him as intended for his good.
