Being in Love

i never knew falling in love

would bring a smile to me

anticipating the day

i would see the person

who keeps my heart beating so fast

 

never expected that being in love

is a natural feeling

you can feel for others

when your heart is open

to understand and accept them

no matter what the circumstance maybe

 

i thank the universe

for making me fall in love

with the beauty around me

with the people i never knew existed

because i am so wrapped up

with my own cocoon

 

now, i am no longer afraid

to be in love

over and over again

because the feeling of joy

emanating from my soul

can no longer be contained....
