Lessons I never Learned

When to your cap you add a feather,

Never on your laurels rest,

The boss comes from nowhere,

To take it to feather his nest.

Be close to powerful people,

But don't tag to a donkey's tail,

Donkey gone, tail gone,

Is an old Chinese tale.

Never use the bosses name,

To climb up the office rung,

Elephants are ever feared,

But not it's little dung !

Always keep in mind,

To boost the boss's ego,

It is a useful tool,

Which the clever one's know.

The boss is always right,

Is an unwritten rule,

Even if he makes an error,

Don't correct, keep your cool.

In the rat race for power,

Nothing comes for a song,

So keep yourself alert,

To get dragged along.

Remember the bitter truth,

Don't do anything well,

You end up all the life,

Stuck to the same hell.

Keep close to the winners,

Even if you are the 12th man,

People will never know,

You were, and also -------- ran.
