  • ·        Rub a thin layer of aloe vera gel into your scalp.
  • ·        Apply the paste all over your scalp and leave it for half an hour.
  • ·        Wash off with mild shampoo.


If you have a fairly severe case of dandruff and it persists -


  • ·        Mix some apple cider vinegar into the above paste before you apply. 
  • ·        Leave it for half an hour as aforesaid.
  • ·        Wash off with mild shampoo.


If you have a very severe case of dandruff -

  • ·        Mix some apple cider vinegar as mentioned above.
  • ·        Leave it for half an hour as aforesaid.
  • ·        Take a little shampoo and crush two aspirins into a fine powder and mix it well, massage it into your hair and leave it on for 1-2 minutes.
  • ·        Wash off with mild shampoo.


Washing your hair twice a week initially and once a week / fortnight thereafter with the above ingredients should ensure that you get rid of the problem permanently. 

Seven Quick Fixes For Sinusitis



Taking a teaspoon of lemon juice everyday will help reduce sinus headaches. Eating foods rich in zinc or taking zinc supplements helps cure sinus infections.


Performing steam inhalations will help reduce the pain from sinus headaches. Adding eucalyptus oil, cough drops, garlic or any other medicinal herbs to the boiling water will help increase the effectiveness of the inhalation.

Eating bulbs such as garlic and onion is an effective remedy for sinusitis. Initially these should be eaten in mild doses, and the dosage increased gradually. Adding herbs to these will increase the potency of the treatment.

Inhaling the vapours of black cumin seeds will provide relief from sinusitis. Another remedy is consuming a mixture of 100 gm of roasted and ground cumin seeds and 200 gm of pure honey.

Carrot juice is an effective remedy in the treatment of sinusitis. The juice can be taken separately or in combination with beet and cucumber, or spinach juice. The total quantity of juice drunk should be around 500 ml.

A diet rich in vitamins A and C is the best way to cure sinusitis. The diet should include whole milk, curds, egg yolk, pumpkin, carrots, leafy vegetables, tomatoes, mangoes, papaya, oranges, lemons and other citrus fruits.

Home Remedies For Hiccups



1. Place a tablespoon of sugar in mouth and suck slowly. In most cases, it is a sure remedy.

2. Hold your breath as long as possible, and let it go out. The lungs expand and push down on the diaphragm, stopping hiccups immediately.

3. Mix 2 teaspoon common salt in a cup of plain yogurt and eat. In most cases, it is a good remedy.
