Yoga mudras can give your skin a healthy glow by balancing your hormones and boosting the flow of oxygen-rich blood to your skin, says Acharya Vikramaditya
Fungal infections usually affect the skin. Some of the very common areas affected by the fungi are between the toes, in the genital area, and under the breasts. Yoga mudras can give your skin a healthy glow by balancing your hormones and boosting the flow of oxygen-rich blood to your skin. This keeps your skin resilient and prevents dryness and excessive sagging. To cure a fungal infection, form the mudra (as given in illustration) with both hands. Cross the fingers of both hands in such a way that the middle fingers and thumbs of both the hand are free and rest all the three fingers are crossed with each other and vice versa. First cross the fore fingers and raise the middle fingers separately. Now cross the ring and little fingers of one hand with their counterparts of the other in such a way that the tips of each particular finger should touch the tips of the same fingers of the other hand. Keep the thumbs of both hands separate. Practice of this mudrahelps in healing fungal infection, particularly tinea pedis, most commonly known as Athlete's foot. Try to control further growth of the fungus by keeping your feet dry. Wear open slippers and dry carefully after washing.
Massage with anti-bacterial oils is effective against fungal infections. These massages also increase the blood circulation to skin that will bring much-needed nutrients and oxygen to rejuvenate and remove toxin-causing matter. Some herbs like neem, tulsi and sandalwood have been extremely effective in curing acne, eczema cure and other diseases of the skin.
